We propose a cash dividend of €0.76 for the financial year 2019, an increase of 8.6% compared to 2018, reflecting our ambition of sustainable growth of the dividend per share. This represents a payout ratio of 44%, based on the expected dividend payment on underlying income from continuing operations.
If approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders, a final dividend of €0.46 per share will be paid on April 23, 2020. This is in addition to the interim dividend of €0.30 per share, which was paid on August 29, 2019. The total dividend payment for the full year 2019 would therefore total €0.76 per share. The interim dividend per share for 2020 will be announced on August 5, 2020, the date of the release of the second quarter results, and will be equal to 40% of the year-to-date underlying income per share from continuing operations.

Reflecting the confidence we have in our strategy and our ability to generate cash, we propose a cash dividend of €0.70 per common share for the financial year 2018, up 11.1% from last year.
This reflects our ambition to sustainably grow the dividend per share and represents a payout ratio of 42%, based on the expected dividend payment on underlying income from continuing operations, which is in line with our dividend policy.
